Tory Lanez On House Arrest Amid Alleged August Alsina Altercation

-Tory Lanez will not be going anywhere for a while. "The Color Violet" rapper has been placed on house arrest after he was allegedly caught in an altercation with August Alsina last month.

A spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney's office confirmed to XXL that the Canadian emcee is set to begin the home confinement on October 31. It's scheduled to last until his trial begins for the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, which starts on November 28.

The altercation between the two musicians allegedly occurred on September 17. The next day, August wrote via Instagram, "Me after a toupee'd sneak attack then being manhandled by Buku security one deep, as the jealous leprechaun run's back off into the building," along with a series of graphic photos.

Denying the allegations, Tory said, "I don't know what everybody is talking about…." He claimed that he was "in the studio…," adding that he's "not in anything negative" and that he's "been working on my myself... and being a better person." He even told D.J. Akademiks that "nothing happened" between him and August despite surfaced proofs of him and August at the same place before the alleged brawl happened.

Tory is also having legal trouble involving Megan after he was accused of shooting at the femcee and wounding both of her feet in July 2020. Before the date was set in November, he was scheduled to kick off the trials in September.

In their eyes — he'd violated the conditions of his bail in the Meg case. During a Wednesday (October 26) hearing, prosecutors believe Lanez continues to threaten public safety and that monetary bail alone wasn't enough of a deterrent.

Earlier this month, Tory divulged that he's facing 24 years in prison. "I am in an open case, and maybe I make this s**t look beautiful, but I am facing 24 years; I'm making s**t look beautiful, don't I? But guys, I am actively facing 24 years next month," he explained. The rap star, born Daystar Peterson, further stressed, "Like this is no play play situation. I've been in this for three years. I've never played internet games with you guys. I'm not gonna start now."
