Justin Bieber Will Perform At Public Funeral For Takeoff

A funeral is arranged for Migos rapper Takeoff, who was killed outside a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, on November 1. According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Takeoff's funeral will be held Friday, November 11, at noon at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Free tickets were available only to Georgia residents through Ticketmaster on Friday, according to a statement published by Variety. Fans could only obtain a maximum of two tickets. State Farm Arena is also offering free parking at its Ruby Lot. No one will be allowed to take photos or videos of the event, and images will be released to the media later.

Justin Bieber is expected to perform at the funeral to honor the fallen Migos member.

Justin previously worked with Migos on the tracks "What You See" and "Looking for You" and collaborated with Quavo. The funeral will be Justin's first public performance in some time, as he previously canceled his "Justice World Tour" to focus on his health amid his battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

There's no word on other performers set to pay musical homage to Takeoff, and no list of celebrity guests who will be in attendance has been released. However, Drake has announced that he postponed his upcoming Apollo Theatre set to happen on Friday, November 11—the same date as Takeoff's funeral performance out of respect for Takeoff's funeral.

Takeoff's family asked fans to make donations to The Rocket Foundation in his memory. The foundation supports programs "which save lives through proven, community-based solutions to prevent gun violence." According to the press release, the memorial will have a strict no-photo-or-video policy. Instead of flowers or gifts, the family asks mourners to donate to the Rocket Foundation, a nonprofit working to prevent gun violence. Pastor Jesse Curney III from New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn has been confirmed to be one of the speakers, as he will give the eulogy at the service.
