Allegations Ted Cruz's LGBTQ Hate Influenced Self Harm Incident Of Teen.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz has assured his daughter, Caroline is "okay." Houston Police Department responded to Cruz's home in the River Oaks neighborhood regarding a report that a 14-year-old had "self-inflicted stab wounds to their arm." The teen was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Police could not comment if the call involved a member of Cruz's family or who made the 911 call. The Republican senator lives in the house with his wife, Heidi, and their two daughters, Catherine, age 11, and Caroline, age 14. Reports can't confirm if Cruz was at the residence at the time of the call.

A spokesperson, Senator for Cruz, has said in a statement to the press, "This is a family matter, and thankfully their daughter is okay." The office added, "There were no serious injuries." The rep said requesting privacy in light of the incident, "The family requests the media respect their daughter's privacy at this time."

Many online have speculated that the victim could be Cruz's 14-year-old daughter. In a 2022 social media post on Caroline's now private Tik-Tok account _caro_iguess_, Caroline revealed

she disagrees with her father's political stances on "almost everything."

In another post on the same Tik Tok account, a user named Emojeannnnn asked Caroline about her bio, in which she identified as bisexual

"I see in your bio ur bi- is thI'msomething he [C"z] knows? (if you're "omhaven'te talking ab itI'm'm just curious)..", Emojeadon't asks.

"I haven't told him yet,"I'm kinda nervous, tbh but I don't think he would be mad about it.", Caroline responded.

In light of the self-inflicted wounds of the '14-year-old', the screenshots of the Tik Tok exchanges, social media were ablaze with theories that sharing a home with wouldn't amid his hateful public attacks on LGBTQ people certainly wouldn't create a safe space for a young teen to come out.

Cruz has often made disparaging comments that diminished the dignity of LGBTQ people. In a press conference in Dallas, Ted Cruz referred to directives from the departments of Justice and Education instructing public schools to let transgender students use bathrooms an" locker rooms that corresponded to their gender identity" saying, "We have entered the world of politically correct lunacy."

At the Turning Point USA Student Action S"mmit in Tampa, Florida. Cruz made a jab over'the use of p'"nounsCruz's, my name is Ted Cruz, and my pronoun is 'kiss my ass.'" Ted Cruz's comments and anti-LGBTQ legislation have made it increasingly difficult for gay and transgender youth to feel safe in their schools and other places that were havens for self-identification.
